When you think of summer some things immediately spring to mind: holidays, enjoying the great outdoors, long hot days, white beaches, and lots of fun with family and friends. Holidaying on the Sunshine Coast is the ultimate place to spend time during summer and with so many things to do, you’re spoilt for choice.

We’ve put together 10 things to do when staying at Serenity Apartments Noosa on the Sunshine Coast. There’s something for everyone and best of all, you get to come home to great holiday accommodation at the end of the day. Enjoy!

– Scream your lungs out and feel the rush of adrenaline on-board Noosa’s Ocean Jet Boat Ride or Noosa Adventure Tour.

– If speed is not quite your thing you can still enjoy the waves, coastal scenery and dolphins with the much quieter 1.5 hour long Noosa Dolphin Spotting Cruise. This scenic cruise travels up the Noosa River and around the coast to Hell’s Gates. You’ll see these majestic animals as they feed and play in the water, often in a pod. The boat only takes a small group so you are guaranteed to be sitting by the side of the boat for perfect viewing and photo taking opportunities.

– Head to the beautiful Noosa National Park and spend a few hours or a day enjoying spectacular lookouts and exploring the multiples walking trails available. Ranging from 1km to 8km return there’s something for most fitness levels.

– No summer holiday in Noosa is complete without a Sunshine Coast Surfing Lesson. You’ll be surfing like a local after your 2 hour lesson in the gentle waters at Noosa Beach. You only need to bring sunscreen, a towel and a sense of adventure as you’ll be provided with a board, leg-rope, and your choice of either a wetsuit or rashie.

– One of only two everglades systems on Earth, the Noosa Everglades, is found within the Cooloola region of the Great Sandy National Park, and is a spectacular 60km stretch of pristine waterways, amazing flora and fauna and narrow waterways. Known as the River of Mirrors due to the amazing reflections in the water, the landscape here has remained unchanged for thousands of years; making it a crucial biosphere for this region of Queensland. The ecosystem is home to more than 40% of Australia’s bird species. Exploring Queensland’s first UNESCO Biosphere couldn’t be easier with several Noosa Everglades tours and experiences to choose from.

– Attend a Noosa Summer Event

– Spend a summer day soaking up the local vibes while shopping for cool handmade and artisan products from local producers and makers at one of Noosa’s markets.  There’s something happening on most weekends so head over to our Markets in and around Noosa blog for further information.

– If you love fishing but don’t have your fishing gear with you, then you are in luck. Noosa Fishing and Crab Tours is the ideal way to spend the day on the beautiful Noosa River. Cast a line to try your luck at catching bream, whiting or trevally or pull up a few crab pots to see what you’ve caught. You’ll enjoy a delicious lunch and get to try either the local Queensland Mud or Blue Swimmer Crabs. All equipment including life jackets are included on this trip that caters for all ages.

– Spend a day at the famous Australia Zoo! If you’ve got your own car you can grab your admission tickets including a Wildlife Hospital Sneak Peek, or if you need transport there is also a handy option that includes Australia Zoo admission and Sunshine Coast Hotel Transfers.

– And relax … you’ve earned it! Why not spend some time around the Serenity Apartments Noosa pool, take a stroll along the boardwalk to our private Noosa River beach, read a book on your balcony, cook up some delicious local produce on one of the BBQs in the guest entertainment area or enjoy some time in our heated outdoor spa. After all, summer is also for relaxing.
